It says the developer cannot be verified — what now?
Click "Open Anyway" under Privacy & Security in System Settings, or right-click the app and choose Open. This is macOSs standard prompt for apps outside the App Store.

Yes. The macOS edition is native on Apple silicon and needs no Rosetta translation, which gives better startup and battery behavior.
