Download manager

Built-in downloader with resume support and multi-thread acceleration — interrupted large files continue where they stopped.

The built-in downloader handles everyday files fine, but large downloads, dropped connections or throttling can waste the whole effort. It supports resume, so once the network is back the download continues from the breakpoint instead of restarting.

Basic usage

Click a download link and the panel shows progress, speed and remaining time. You can pause, resume or cancel, and open the containing folder when it finishes.

  • Live progress, speed and remaining time
  • Pause and resume support
  • Open the file or its folder when done
  • Drag files out to the desktop or a folder

Resume and acceleration

For servers that support range requests the downloader fetches in multiple threads and resumes from the last byte after an interruption. When a server does not support it, it falls back to a single thread but still keeps what was completed.

  • Multi-thread segmented download
  • Resumes after network loss or shutdown
  • Clear notice when a server does not support resume
  • Speed limit available so browsing is not starved

Safety prompts

Downloaded executables are scanned; files from unknown sources or flagged by the scanner are marked and require a second confirmation before opening.

  • Executables scanned after download
  • Risky files need confirmation before opening
  • Source URL is always visible
  • False positives can be added to a trust list

FAQ

Can a half-finished download be resumed?

It depends on whether the server supports range requests. If it does, resume is automatic; if not, you will be told a restart is needed.

Where are downloaded files stored?

In the system download folder by default. You can change the location in settings or ask for the location before each download.
